Classic Pesto alla Genovese

with Basil and Pine Nuts

Tired of Quarantine Bread, yet? Move over sourdough…here comes Pesto! Great for adding flavor to basically anything, it’s just as satisfying and WAY easier to make. So grab some basil, a food processor, and presto change-o, pesto! Your next pasta bowl or pizza night is about to get a whole lot fresher! 


Classic Basil Pesto


  • 3oz fresh basil leaves, firmly packed
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan-Reggiano, freshly grated
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 2 medium garlic cloves, crushed
  • sea salt, to taste
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste
