Along Came a Cider

Spiced apple cider is beloved by children and adults alike.  With That’s Tasty Mulling Spices, this recipe comes together in fast so you and the family have more time to enjoy the holidays and each other.

Recipe: Mulled Cider with That’s Tasty Mulling Spices

Ingredients:

  • 1 quart fresh apple cider
  • 2 tbsps. That’s Tasty Mulling Spices
  • Orange slice (for garnish)
  • That’s Tasty Cinnamon Sticks (for garnish)
  • A splash of Brandy or Rum (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine 1-quart fresh apple cider and Mulling Spices in a steeping bag or a piece of cheese cloth
  2. Gently simmer for approximately 20 minutes.
  3. Remove the Mulling Spices and serve the cider hot in mugs
  4. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and orange wedge

Notes:

Try adding a shot of Brandy or Rum per cup – baby, it’s cold outside.

It’s the Most Wine-derful Time of the Year

Bring on the flavor of the holidays with a steaming cup of mulled wine!  It’s a party-starter when served alongside a simple appetizer of French cheese, roasted nuts, and sliced apples or a luxurious way to wind down by the fireside after dinner.

Recipe: Mulled Wine with That’s Tasty Mulling Spices

Ingredients:

  • 1 750ml bottle red wine (We suggest Zinfandel, Malbec, or Syrah, but any fruit-forward red wine will do!)
  • 2 tbsps. That’s Tasty Mulling Spices
  • Honey or agave syrup, to taste
  • Orange slice (for garnish)
  • That’s Tasty Cinnamon Sticks (for garnish)
  • A splash of Brandy, Bourbon, or Cognac (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine one bottle of red wine with 2 tablespoons of That’s Tasty Mulling Spices in a steeping bag or piece of cheesecloth.
  2. Gently simmer for approximately 20 minutes, careful not to let the wine come to a bowl.
  3. Remove the spices, and add honey or Agave syrup to taste
  4. Serve hot in mugs garnished with a cinnamon stick and orange wedge.

Notes:

Add a splash of your favorite Brandy, Bourbon, or Cognac for a little extra kick!
